July 10, 2007 - WellDog announces the appointment of Dr. Jeffrey Levine as Chief Technology Officer

Laramie, Wyoming – WellDog, a Laramie, Wyoming-based energy technology company, has announced the appointment of Dr. Jeffrey Levine as Chief Technology Officer.

Dr. Levine brings over thirty years of experience as a geologist specializing in the assessment of coal bed methane and shale gas reservoirs.  He has worked in most of the major coal and shale basins in the United States and Canada, and has participated in projects in the United Kingdom, Poland, China, Australia and Columbia.  He spent seven years in coal bed methane research at the University of Alabama and held positions at GeoMet Operating Company, CDX Gas and Ammonite Resources.  He began his career at the U.S. Bureau of Mines, where he participated in the development of the “direct method” for estimating in situ gas content of coal.

“Jeff’s roots in the CBM industry are deep,” said Wayne Greenberg, CEO of WellDog.  “His wealth of knowledge will be an invaluable part of WellDog’s intellectual leadership as we expand our technology horizontally and vertically in the oil and gas marketplace.”

“WellDog’s innovative technology for measuring chemicals in solution using Raman spectroscopy is certain to have tremendous impact in several industries,” said Dr. Levine.  “For the natural gas industry, providing critical reservoir data at a very economical cost is a major breakthrough.  I look forward to being part of this effort and participating in the development of several new technologies.”

WellDog’s coal bed methane analysis suite provides the only services available today that analyze a CBM well throughout its lifecycle.
