The IT Summit comes to Wyoming

The IT Summit is the executive technology conference series coming to the University of Wyoming on April 30, 2008. The purpose of the educational conference series is to support the proliferation of information technology. Attendees are IT executives from government, education, and corporate. WIN Executive Director Peterson Receives award
Congratulations to Heidi, WIN Executive Director, a recipient of the Casper Star Tribune's 2008 Wyoming's 40 Under 40 Awards. This is an award that highlights the contributions made by young leaders in their communities. The selection process began by inviting Star Tribune readers to nominate members in Wyoming communities whose talents are helping to build Wyoming. 73 nominations were received, which were then pared down to this year's 40. The following qualities were used to evaluate this year's nominees: professional achievement, community leadership, entrepreneurship and humanitarianism.

Senator Mike Enzi's Inventors Conference
Senator Enzi's 6th annual conference on April 12, 2008 is open to all Wyoming residents who have an innovative idea and would like to take it to the next level.
Speakers and inventors will share their knowledge and expertise on securing patents, developing business plans and marketing inventions.

Dinner Program on bootstrapping, featuring speaker Thomas Frey. Thomas Frey is an outstanding futurist and the Founder and Executive Director of the DaVinci Institute. Before launching the DaVinci Institute, Tom spent 15 years at IBM as an engineer and designer where he received over 270 awards, more than any other IBM engineer. Tom has been a columnist for the Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News, and Boulder County Business Report, and is the author of the 1998 book "Inventions of Impact".
